Complete Prince2 Agile Practitioner Course

Course Overview:

PRINCE2 is the global de-facto standard methodology for project management, but it is often, wrongly, seen as a “traditional” or “waterfall” project management method, in contrast with more cutting-edge “agile” project management techniques. In fact, PRINCE2 is applicable to any project and is fully enabled to work in an agile environment. However, many of those who hold PRINCE2 certifications do not have enough understanding of agile techniques to be able to tailor the method to this way of working, and many agile practitioners do not understand the flexibility that PRINCE2 provides. In addition to this, agile methods were developed to manage Business as Usual (BAU) software development, and many struggle to see how these techniques can be applied to projects in other environments. While agile is predominantly a delivery approach, more complex projects require greater structure, organisation and management, which is where PRINCE2 works successfully.

PRINCE2 Agile is the world’s most complete project management solution, combining the flexibility and responsiveness of agile with the clearly defined framework of PRINCE2. This course provides a new extension module tailored for forward-thinking organisations and individuals already benefiting from PRINCE2 that would like further guidance on how to apply agile methods to the world’s most recognized project management method. This course will help those who are looking for project management that has the structure of PRINCE2 with the flexible delivery of Agile.

Who will benefit?

Primarily, PRINCE2 Agile is for those members of the PRINCE2 community who are practicing agile, are wanting to become more agile, or are encountering more agile. It may also be useful to agile practitioners who want to adopt PRINCE2 project governance to complement their existing agile practices. Mature agile organisations may wish to become familiar with PRINCE2 Agile in order to add to their existing body of knowledge.

Pre-requisites delegates do not need to be qualified in any project management framework to attend and sit the exams for this course.  However, it would be preferable that they have some PRINCE2 or agile experience.
